Easy to set, but looks cheap Feb 04, 2008 The dial to set the watch works easily, so I advise the previous reviewer to return hers as defective.
I am returning mine because the leather strap looks plastic and the decoration cheap. It's nowhere near worth the "retail price", and even at what it costs, I'd rather a plain watch that makes no pretension to quality jewelry.
Granted, I'm spoiled. My former watch was a $200-something Raymond Weil that costs twice that now. They wanted $321 to repair it. So back to the search.
No wonder it's marked down so much! Feb 01, 2008 This is a beautiful watch, don't get me wrong. The only problem is that you can't change the time on it because the little dial won't pop out. My husband pried it out w/ a pin, but when you turn the dial to change the time, unless you're REALLY careful, you end up pushing the sucker back in. We finally had to wait for time to catch up to the watch (since if you can pop the dial out, it stops the hands from moving) and then restarted the watch. Of course, when daylight savings occurs, I may go nuts so I should probably just return the thing.
I only recommend this watch if you don't care about having the right time and only want something pretty on your wrist.
my wife loves it Jan 18, 2008 it's a charming watch that combines common sense functionality - you can comfortably read the time - and fashionable appearance. My wife loves marcasite and wears this every chance she gets,
