 Watch great, import deposit a pain! Dec 02, 2008
I purchased this watch on line Nov/08. It was shipped fast and arrived nicely packaged and exactly as ordered. Watch looks awesome!
But one major drawback so far .... I live in Canada and had to pay a deposit fee of over $1,400us to cover import duties. I called a few import brokers and they both advised me that Canada does not have any import duties on watches. I am still trying to find out what my refund will be (and where is it?) even after sending several e-mails and a couple of calls (I think the call centre is offshore - I could hardly understand the nice lady who tried to help me).
Im posting this review now but will post an update +/- under the same product sting once the refund sorts itself out.
At this point, the watch is great but the lack of response on at least advising what import fee's I paid is bad. The wb site says it might take up to 8 weeks for a refund even though they hit my VISA before I got the watch and the fee was assessed and paid the day before I got the watch.

I bought this watch for my wife's 40th birthday and she loved it. Right after receiving the watch, we went on a trip to Europe which gave me the opportunity to compare prices. I realized that I got my watch at least $2000 cheaper with the same guarantees and after sales services!
I am very happy with my shopping and I would recommend this watch to others. Amazon has also provided a very good service and delivered what exactly I had ordered and on time.

I received this a Christmas gift from my husband. This is a beautiful watch, sturdy and elegant. We priced this same watch at several jewelry stores that carry Omega and found the Amazon price to be at least $1,000 less than the jewelers. The watch arrived, I took it to a local Omega dealer to have it sized (at no charge)and have been wearing it ever since. If you are looking at purchasing this watch, save money by getting it from Amazon.
