Looks like a classic Cartier tank watch Oct 31, 2008
I have a very nice 18k gold Cartier watch but I'm afraid to use it much because it's too valuable to risk getting mugged. Crazy, but these are crazy times.
I have always loved the looks of the classic Cartier tank watch, but this almost identical one offers Seiko reliability without Cartier's $2,700 pricetag.
Besides, if someone is shallow enough to put their nose up against my watch to check the brand, I'm pretty sure they aren't worth knowing anyway.
Besides, in owning both brands, I can honestly say the Seiko keeps more accurate time.

Attractive, serviceable, and utterly reliable Seiko timepiece Nov 28, 2007
I always have a problem choosing a watch for a woman. I'm never sure of style or size. In this case, a workaday watch was needed for a woman who usually wears gold jewelry. Unsure of the correct watchband size, I chose a leather strap. So utterly sensible, you might say. Surprise! She loves it. The "hardened" crystal is a must, as she can manage to put a hole thru a crystal in less than a week. The black leather band is suitable as it goes with anything she wears, and the gold colored case is a good match for her other jewelry. The dial is readable and, of course, it's an excellent timepiece. That's the only kind Seiko makes.
