Great watch! Jul 22, 2008 I replaced my older Ironman Timex with this one. I love the new features of multiple alarms and intervals. I use every feature this watch offers on a regular basis. I find the various functions very easy to use compared to similar watches made by other companies. Not only do I use it for training, I use the crono and timer for cooking too! I love updated look of it as well. Great watch!
Timex triathalon watch Jul 21, 2008 My granddaughter, who is a collegiate runner, loves this watch. It's a great help with her prescribed summer workouts.
Nice watch. Jul 16, 2008 Got this about 4 months ago, and I love it! I had 3 friends on my team who have had Timex Ironman's for about 2-3 years each, so I definitely had to buy this when I saw it on sale.
It's easy to use, no real need to consult the manual at all. The chrono is great, it tells you lap times, splits, and total time. It can hold up to 50 laps, which is more than enough for me.
I also love the fact that this watch has 3 alarms that you can program daily, weekends, or for certain days. The alarm is definitely loud enough for me to hear, and I'm not a very sensitive sleeper.
The only thing that bothers me is the interval timer. You can only set 2 intervals, but the beep between them is pretty weak. So if I set 1 min on, 30 sec off for weight reps, I can't really tell when my half min rest is coming up if I'm in a noisy gym. However, the beep is loud when the timer goes back to the 1st interval, so I just ended up setting up the timer for one interval of 30 seconds.
Also, the watch gets dirty really fast, so imagine the watch in the picture with a more dull-ish color. It came as a ridiculously bright blue though, so I didn't mind at all.
All in all, great watch!

Great value-for-money Jul 10, 2008 This is my second Women's Ironman. For the price, I highly recommend the product as a travel or activity watch. Features that I particularly like are the indiglo, the two time zones, the timer, multiple alarms, the fact that it's waterproof to 100 meters, and the "strap leash" that keeps the strap from flapping. I've never used the "sports" features like lap and memory. I have a relatively small wrist and the average sports watch swims on it, but this one fits great. Buttons are large, setup is intuitive. The color is more blue than purple -- a bluey periwinkle? The one negative is durability. Based on my experience, the watch itself can take a beating -- I've worn them rafting, hiking, climbing, and on a trip around the world -- but the casing doesn't fare as well. On both this and my last watch, the silver paint on the face scraped away almost immediately (revealing white plastic underneath), and I had to get this replacement when the band of my old watch separated from the face, popping one of the buttons off with it, and then the strap itself cracked where you fasten it. This happened after about (I think) two years. Because the band wraps around the watch, there's no way to replace it without replacing the whole watch. I'm trying to make sure I don't over-tighten this one in hopes that it will last longer. But for the price ... I'll be back to buy the same watch!
Nice until it dies Jul 10, 2008 After a year of wear, turned out to not be waterproof. But I enjoyed it for a year, it's an otherwise good watch.
